Sharon and Grant wanted a very relaxed and carefree wedding, and so they planned their day with no formal speeches or sit-down meals and confirmed a stand up cocktail style event with roaming food and a night where their guests were free to mingle and interact freely with each other, and enjoy the coastal location.
Sharon is also a photographer, so she had a very good eye for detail and had a love for bright colours and she planned a vivid and summer inspired styling concept for their day.
Grant and Sharon had their first holiday together in Noosa, so the location was very close to their heart, it was important to them to have their celebrations in one of their favourite places to be.
They wanted their favourite beach as the backdrop and Sharon was confident that the bright colour scheme would look gorgeous there – and it did!
Noosa put on it’s best conditions for their ‘I Do’s’ with blue skies and beautiful sunshine. With a large guest list who travelled far and wide to be with Sharon and Grant to celebrate their day, it was a fabulous opportunity for all to see Noosa to shine! Prior to the bride arriving guests witnessed a pod of dolphins who were playing in the water just out in the beach from where the ceremony was being held.
After the ceremony Sharon and Grant arranged a Noosa River Ferry cruise for all of their guests. The ferry picked guests up nearby the ceremony and took them on a cruise along the Noosa river for an hour and then dropped them off to start at the Boat House.
To accent the bright colour concept Sharon wanted a Hamptons styling feel and the team at Splash Events created a beautiful chic modern concept that accented the reception space perfectly.
Sharon and Grant had huge compliments for the team at The Boathouse – ‘Nothing was too much trouble for the team we just couldn’t fault them.’
Sharon had some wise words of wisdom, ‘It’s really important that you get along with your suppliers. The reason our wedding was so gorgeous and relaxed was because every single one of our suppliers made us feel at ease. We immediately clicked with our photographer which made it so easy for our photos – we both hate being photographed so to see such beautiful images captured from our day is huge testament to our photographers skill, and her ability to put her clients at ease.
