When starting the wedding planning process it can sometimes be a little hard to grasp the right direction to represent the wedding day, but Tegan and Tye had a very clear vision from the start for their celebration, it quite simply was to be a perfect representation of the two of them and all the things they love. Incorporating nature, organic styling elements and striving for a simplistic yet beautiful celebration was their absolute goal, and according to these two lovebirds it was all pieced together by what they summarise as – ‘one hell of a dream wedding team!’
There was no other location more perfect for Tegan and Tye than Rainbow Beach, a location very close to their hearts it was no surprise to anyone that they chose this idyllic part of the northern area of the Sunshine Coast to celebrate their day. Their personal love story started there and the beautiful space holds so many memorable moments for them. Rainbow Beach is a regular weekend escape for them both and proves to be their sanctuary when life gets a little too much. It was also the place where Tye lovingly proposed, and Rainbow Beach will also be their ‘Special Place’.
Their ceremony was surrounded by natural coastal landscape, and as they joined hands in front of a circle arbor of gardenesque greenery it was easy to get swept away in the tranquil setting. Guests were seated on handmade timber bench seats softened with macrame cushions and textural finishes partnered with natural wood accents to add an organic style to the beautiful space.
The reception featured long feasting tables lined with full length green foliage garlands, timber table numbers and beautifully created place names for each of the guests were a feature to the styling, and guests celebrated under the glow of warm string overhead lights. The bridal party space featured a macramé curtain backdrop and vases of pampass grass accented the area beautifully, adding another natural inspired floral element to their day.
The beautiful bridal bouquets were created by Branch and Blossom, the natural gathered designs featured crisp white blooms and textural foliage accents and proved to be the perfect accessory for Tegan and her girls.
Tegan on remembering the celebration, ‘one of the most memorable parts of our wedding day.. was walking back down the aisle to say to each other “we did it.” I finally got to marry this absolutely blessing of a man and I could now call him my husband!’
It seems that celebrations for these two will be continuing as a few days prior to the wedding day Tegan and Tye found out they were expecting their first baby. ‘The raw emotions we held back during our vows as we knew that from this day forward our lives were about to change in an incredible and amazing way, not only as we started life as a married couple but soon to become a family of our very own.’
Congratulations Tegan and Tye
